Cartmel being known for it's famous Sticky Toffee Pudding, The Priory Church and with events such as The Cartmel Races and The Lakeland Show. The Village still thrives on it's close community and the welcoming friendliness of all the locals.
At The Pig & Whistle you'll find a truely traditional English Pub with a warm welcome and a cosy fireplace (especially for the cold days).  Recently The Pig & Whistle has Undergone a Total Refurbishment, re-vamping the Guest Rooms and The Bistro The Beer Garden has had a staggering transformation making it a wonderful place to sit out and enjoy the views throughout the day with the sunshine there all day. During shows and events we also offer an outside bar (summertime only).

We also have a promotion on at the moment - after 8 every night all ales are reduced along with wines , sprits, lagers, ciders, bottles and shots and the cheapest pint is a pint of XB GOLD which is just like a pint of smooth. We charge £ 2.30 for a pint of smooth.... There is no where in the Cartmel area were you will be able to get a cheaper PINT AT THAT PRICE....
